Bul Kathos – Add Skills, Life and Stamina to Your Diablo II Experience As You Hack Down Demons!

Bul-Kathos, in Diablo Lore, is believed to be one of the first humans to be born in the world of Sanctuary, who are commonly referred to as Nephalem. He was also believed to be the guardian of Mount Arreat itself. Bul-Kathos’ Wedding Band is a unique Ring. With Life Leech and a boost to Life, it would be a good choice of a ring for melee characters.

The Stats:

Level Requirement: 58

+1 to All Skills

+0-49 to Life (+0.5 per Character Level)

3-5% Life Stolen per Hit (varies)

+50 to Maximum Stamina

+1 to All Skills

+ to All Skills is a mod that often benefits casters more than melee characters since the former depends purely on their Skills to do damage, while the latter can depend on their weapons for some of the damage they inflict on their foes. However, a +1 To All Skills will not go remiss with a melee character, because it improves the Skills they use to do even more damage on top of the damage dealt out from their weapons.

+0-49 to Life (+0.5 per Character Level)

Bul Kathos’ Wedding Band gives a nice bonus to Life. At the minimum level when your character would be able to wear it, the Band 29 extra hit points. While this may seem small, it is nothing to sniff at, and sometimes, 29 hit points can spell the difference between life and death.

3-5% Life Stolen per Hit (varies)

Life Leech is a desirable mod for any character that deals physical damage with their weapons. Since they are always in thick of battle, they also tend to suffer the most hits. Therefore, it would be advantageous to most melee characters to have a way to regain Life quickly. One way to do is by downing potions, and another way would be to rely on the Paladin’s Prayer Aura, but sometimes you might run out of rejuvenation potions, and a Paladin’s Prayer Aura takes a while to refill the Life bubble.

Life Leech is a quick way to regain hit points, because most melee characters are constantly bashing and hitting their opponents, and with a high percentage of Life Leech you will definitely notice how quickly the Life bubble fills up.

 +50 to Maximum Stamina

While this might seem like a huge bonus to Stamina, at Level 58, most players should not be having any Stamina issues.

Summary:

Bul Kathos’ Wedding Band is a simple ring with a few mods, but they are all good mods, and well suited for a melee character.

The Best Ladder Bow in Diablo 2 for the Bowazon – Find Out How to Take Advantage of This Work of Art

Amazons who make use of Bows as their primary weapon (commonly referred to as Bowazons), should take a look at the Faith Runeword. It offers an incredible bonus to weapon damage, and several exciting mods.

This Runeword is only available to Ladder Characters.

4 Socket Missile Weapons

Runes (in order): Ohm + Jah + Lem + Eld

+330% Enhanced Damage

Ignore Target’s Defense

300% Bonus To Attack Rating

Level 12-15 Fanaticism Aura When Equipped (varies)

This is one of the star mods of the Faith Runeword.

Fanaticism is one of the Paladin’s many Auras, located in the Offensive Aura Skill Tree. It is one of the most popular Auras with Diablo 2 players because not only does it improves the Paladin’s own Attack Speed, Attack Rating and Damage output, but it improves all of the Paladin’s allies’ Damage output as well.

A Level 15 Fanaticism Aura can increase the party’s damage by 144%; this is more than double the amount of original damage! With your Faith Runeword, you can now make use of the incredibly useful Fanaticism Aura, and not only up your own melee prowess, but you’ll be the pride of your allies as well!

+1-2 To All Skills (varies)

All characters of all builds can always enjoy a + to All Skills mod. This is a wonderful mod to have on a weapon.

+330% Enhanced Damage

Improving the damage of your current weapon by a fixed figure of 330% is a huge upgrade in damage potential. Faith might  well be the Grief or Death of missile weapon s due to its high %Enhanced Damage mod.

Ignore Target’s Defense

Great for killing normal monsters quickly, but this ability doesn’t work on Champions, Uniques, Bosses or Players.

300% Bonus To Attack Rating

This will really help out when your % to Hit Monsters go down as you level up and enter Hell Difficulty. A 300% Bonus to Attack Rating is huge, and for this reason, some classes who don’t rely purely on their weapons to kill (casters, or the occasional party-multiplayer oriented Paladin) might decide to give Faith a go. Combine this with an Angelic setup, and they might actually have a decent chance to hit.

+120 Fire Damage

Icing on the cake for anyone who goes for Faith

All Resistances +15

It’s rare for a missile weapon to provide a decent bonus to All Resistance, but Faith’s +15 to All Resistances really can help out with those players who want to max out their Resistance in Hell Difficulty (most players would).

10% Reanimate As: Returned

A very interesting mod for Faith, and certainly visually entertaining on-screen. Kill a monster on stage, and there is a 10% chance that it comes back as a powerful Skeleton. This is not a world-changing, Earth-shattering mod, but it does make using Faith a lot of fun.

Summary:

This is one great Runeword to make in a bow. Massive weapon damage enhancement, the incredibly useful Fanaticism Aura, decent boost to All Resistances, +1-2 To All Skills, and mega boost to Attack Rating…it may be a bit expensive, but looking at all the stats and mods, it would hard for any player to deny its worth. If you’re rich enough, Faith can be a very nice Runeword to make in a bow and give to your Act 1 Rogue Mercenary, who rarely has nice weapons to choose from due to her dependency on missile weapon. With Faith equipped, she can deal good damage, and provide you with the Fanaticism Aura, while your character, if you were so inclined, can then wear or wield another item that provides  a different aura (Dream Runeword for Holy Shock, Doom Runeword for Holy Freeze), so you’d have a total of two Auras going (or three, if you were a Paladin).

Big Charms Comes With Big, Charming Bonuses in Diablo 2 – Your Guide to Gheeds

Gheed is the obsequious traveling merchant who takes shelter behind the safe walls of the Rogue Encampment in Act 1. He sells armors and weapons and also offers your characters the chance to Gamble for better equipment.

In honor of Gheed, we have Gheed’s Fortune, a unique Large Charm much desired by Diablo 2 players.

As a unique Large Charm, you may only carry one in your backpack at any one time.

The Stats

Required Level: 62

80-160% Extra Gold From Monsters

Reduces All Vendor Prices 10-15%

20-40% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items

80-160% Extra Gold From Monsters

Gold is used primarily to maintain your weapons and armor, and also for Gambling. Some weapons and armor require an exorbitant amount of gold to repair at the blacksmith, and this is where this nice mod comes into play. With a Gheed’s fortune in your inventory, you will find less difficult to maintain enough gold for fixing your equipment, and for those who are Gambling addicts, this mod is a godsend.

Reduces All Vendor Prices 10-15%

This mod is very attractive to those players who like to spend their gold on Gambling for better equipment.

Players can gamble for better equipment by visiting the merchant in the headquarters for a particular Act. In Act 1, this would be Gheed.

What then happens is that when you select the Gambling option, you will have the opportunity to buy a few choices of items from the merchant. Once you have done so, it goes into your inventory and is immediately identified. There is chance that the item you have bought is a normal Magical item (89.85%), a Rare Item (10%), a Set item (0.10%) or a Unique item (0.05%).

Gheed’s fortune is attractive to players who like to gamble because not only do you get more gold from killing (as explained above), but the items available on the Gambling window are cheaper as well, meaning that you get more bang for your buck!

20-40% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items

Diablo 2 is all about getting the best items for your character. With the right items, your character becomes tougher to kill, is able to deal more damage, and just generally becomes more of a bad-ass.

An MF  (Magic Find) Run in a Diablo 2 game is where players equip their characters with items that offers the mod %Better chance of Getting Magic Items, where a higher % is better in terms of increasing the chances of getting better item drops from unique monsters, but while still being able to dish out decent damage.

Gheed’s Fortune is a fantastic addition when you eventually decide to do your MF Run, especially if you get a near perfect or perfect Gheed (where near perfect would be around 35-40% MF).

Summary:

Gheed’s Fortune is a unique charm highly valued by players who enjoy Gambling (almost all players) and players who enjoy getting better gear by doing MF Runs (all players). The only bad thing that could be said about Gheed’s Fortune is the fact that your character hasn’t found it yet!
